Haley Bodway

Sr., OH, Bloomington Jefferson

Bodway is a powerhouse player who was an All-State selection as a junior outside hitter. At 6-feet tall, she's both a great offensive (1,421 career kills) and defensive player (845 career digs).  Also has 239 career blocks and 133 career service aces. Bodway plays with the Northern Lights 17-1 team in the offseason and has committed to Western Kentucky. "A top offensive and defensive player. She knows the game strategy and pace and makes great decisions." -- Jefferson coach Michelle Grice

Anna Schlaak

Sr., OH, NRHEG

Schlaak, a 5-foot-11 senior outside hitter, is a powerful and experienced veteran who will be a stalwart across the court. She was an All-Gopher choice last fall and played on the Northern Lights 17-1 program in the off-season. Already with 904 career kills, her season total of 244 last year was down, but she had to finish out the final nine matches of the season as libero after tearing an abdominal muscle. Now healthy, she'll easily crack the 1,000-kill barrier for her career. Added 289 digs last fall.

Q: Give me a short scouting report on yourself as a player. What are your strengths?
A: Good arm swing. I don't like balls hitting the floor.

Q: Can you tell us one unusual thing about yourself that others may not know?
A: I am a small town farm girl with pigs.

Q: What's the best part of playing high school volleyball and why?
A: Being able to be with friends while enjoying the thing I love.

Q: Tell me about the outlook for your team this year. Why will you have a successful season?
A: We'll be young, but will hopefully be the underdog coming to the top.

Q: What are the strengths of your team?
A:  We are tall at the net.
