The Big Three made certain Hopkins would remain unbeaten.  Joe Coleman (25 points), Siyani Chambers (21) and Marvin Singleton (21) combined for 67 points to lead the two-time defending state champion and No. 1 ranked Royals to an 86-68 victory over No. 3 Osseo in the Breakdown Tip Off Classic at Minnetonka High School.

Hopkins successfully ran its fast-paced offense, which has scored more than 100 points on several occasions this winter, although the Orioles did slow down the pace with a tough defensive effort.

Joey Sonnenfeld (26 points) and Terez Van Pelt (18) paced Osseo in scoring.

Chambers, a junior guard, had the fast-paced Hopkins offense purring like a fine-tuned race car.  He was able to drive and weave his way for 21 points (tied for second on the Royals with Marvin Singleton), while also dishing to Singleton and Joe Coleman (who led the team with 25 points).  The trio combined for 67 points, nearly as many as Osseo, which had 68.
