Class AAAA results

#1 Hopkins 90, #4 Henry Sibley 82 2OT
Henry Sibley just ran out of horses.  The Warriors pushed defending champion Hopkins to the brink, but the Royals earned a 90-82 double-overtime victory in the Class AAAA semifinals at Target Center.  Five different Warriors fouled out of the game, including starters Jordan Jackson (25 points), Dante Grant (20), Mike Rostampour (13) and Jake Kreuser (7).  With the starting quartet watching from the bench, Hopkins (28-2) scored the final six points of overtime to finally end the upset bid of Henry Sibley (24-7).  The game was marred with foul trouble on both teams.  Every starter on both team had at least four fouls and Hopkins' Siyani Chambers (12 points) also fouled out.  The teams combined to shoot 82 free throws in the game, and Hopkins made 39-of-58, both good for new state records.  Joe Coleman led Hopkins with 25 points, while Marvin Singleton (22, pictured at right), DJ Peterson (13) and Chambers all scored in double-figures.  Jimmy Ryan scored 13 for Henry Sibley, including three big treys in the final minute of regulation and the first overtime.
