MN Boys Basketball state championship pairings

Opening round state games have been set for 2010

The 2010 Minnesota Boys' State Basketball tournament brackets were announced today along with the seedings in the two large classes.

Class A and AA brackets were predetermined by sections by the choice of the coaches while Class AAA and Class AAAA seed the top four teams.  Coaches voted to determine the top four seeds of each of the two largest classes.  From there a blind draw of the remaining four teams in each class is held to establish the opponent for each seeded team.

Class AAAA
Wednesday at Target Center
#1 Hopkins vs. Forest Lake, 10 a.m.
#4 Henry Sibley vs. Eastview, noon
#2 Eden Prairie vs. Owatonna, 2 p.m.
#3 Champlin Park vs. St. Cloud Tech, 4 p.m.

Class AAA
Wednesday at Williams Arena

#1 St. Paul Johnson vs. Hutchinson, 10 a.m.
#4 Winona vs. Orono, noon
#2 DeLaSalle vs. Little Falls, 2 p.m.
#3 Benilde-St. Margaret’s vs. Grand Rapids, 4 p.m.

Class AA
Wednesday at Target Center
Plainview-Elgin-Millville vs. Jordan, 6 p.m.
Minnehaha Academy vs. Crosby-Ironton, 8 p.m.
Wednesday at Williams Arena
Braham vs. Sibley East, 6 p.m.
Windom vs. New London-Spicer, 8 p.m.

Class A
Thursday at Williams Arena

Rushford-Peterson vs. Springfield, 11 a.m.
Minnesota Transitions vs. Cass Lake-Bena, 1 p.m.
Mesabi East vs. Sebeka, 3 p.m.
Ellsworth vs. Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, 5 p.m.
