Hopkins 77, Hill-Murray 37
Sisters Nia and Sydney Coffey combined for 33 points as top-ranked Hopkins flexed its muscles in a 77-37 victory over Hill-Murray at the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic at Hopkins. Nia Coffey scored 13 points in the first half as the Royals raced out to a 49-19 lead. T.T. Starks and Mikaala Shackelford also scored in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Claire Van Dyk, Christy Atkinson and Tessa Cichy all had seven points for the Pioneers.

Top-ranked and three-time defending state champion Hopkins showcased its depth in a 102-67 victory over Braham at the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic (boys edition) Saturday night at Hopkins. Led by point guard Siyani Chambers' 22 points, seven Royals scored in double figures and 11 had at least two points. Tyler Vaughan led all scorers with 27 points for Braham, while Cameron Braund chipped in with 15.

Rebekah Dahlman did her damage from the field in the first half and the free throw line in the second, scoring 47 points to help Braham hang on to a 77-70 victory over Maranatha Christian at the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic. Dahlman scored 23 first-half points (all from the field) as the Bombers streaked out to a 40-26 lead. But the Mustangs found junior post Onye Osemenam in the second half and rallied to a 64-63 lead with 3:43 remaining. After Osemenam fouled out with 27 points, Braham closed the game on a 14-6 run to win. Dahlman hit 14-of-18 free throws in the second half. Kelsey Sorenson-Giffrow added 19 points for Braham.

Janay Morton hit three straight free throws in the final minute, two with five seconds remaining, to lead Osseo to a 55-53 victory over Sartell-St. Stephen in the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic. Senior Mikayla Bailey paced the Osseo offense with 18 points while Morton added 13. Haley Guetter was the top scorer for Sartell with 19 points.

Mariah Adanene and Tyseanna Johnson combined for 49 points as DeLaSalle opened the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic with a resounding 91-61 victory over St. Paul Central. Johnson, who was 14-of-16 from the free throw line in the game, hit a long trey just before the halftime buzzer to put the Islanders in control. Rayna Sherow led Central with 14 points, while Sade Chatman chipped in with 13 and Jada Jones aded 10.

Minnetonka 93, Rogers 83 (boys)
In a high-scoring conclusion to the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic (boys edition), Minnetonka outlasted Rogers, 93-83. Joe Risinger (26 points), Riley Dearring (21) and Latrell Love (19) led the way for the Skippers. Rogers was paced by Michael Schreiber with 29 points and Nick Runge with 16.

Minnetonka rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to beat Richfield, 68-57, in the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic. Joanna Hedstrom scored 13 of her 18 points after intermission while Maddy Johnson had nine of her 11 in the second half. Courtney Fredrickson led the Skippers with 19 points and Kelly McKenzie added 12. Hannah Wise had 16 points and Jessica January 13 points for Richfield.

Marissa Grossfeld and Wayzata dominated the interior and cruised past Cambridge-Isanti, 83-44, in the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic. Grossfeld tallied 26 points, 16 in the first half as the Trojans broke out to a 46-18 lead at intermission. Katie Schulz (14 points), Sally Siewert (12) and Kiana Nickel (11) also scored in double figures for Wayzata. Whitney Olson led the Bluejackets with 17 points.

Behind a stout defensive effort and a game-high 15 points from junior Jacqlyn Poss, Roseville stymied Bloomington Jefferson, 59-35, in the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic. The Raiders limited Jefferson to just 15 first-half points in building up a big lead. Olivia Hansen chipped in with nine points while Emma Schaefer and Larissa Graham each had eight. The Jaguars were without leading scorer Britney Scherber, who missed the game with an injury. Nicole Tobon and Ellen Kokes led Jefferson with six points each.

Micaela Noga scored 15 first-half points to lead Parkers Prairie past Isle in the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic Saturday at Hopkins. Noga (19 points) was one of three scorers in double figures for the Panthers along with sisters Madison Dorn (14) and Kaylee Dorn (10). Alanah Boser led Isle with 12 points, including a pair of treys.

Carly Tibbetts hit 1-of-2 free throws with 4.7 seconds remaining in overtime as Eden Prairie upended Benilde-St. Margaret's, 51-50, in the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic. Shayne Mullaney scored 20 points for Eden Prairie, including a deep three-pointer that kicked off the overtime scoring. Josie Dillon led the Red Knights with 18 points and Khadijah Shumpert added 14 points.

Junior Tori Shear stepped up with 21 points for Chanhassen in a 73-55 victory over Woodbury in the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic. Shear led a balanced Storm attack that had three other players in double-figures -- Becca Smith (13), Danielle Gitzen (11) and Mikki Prince (10) -- despite the absence of Lauren Shifflett, who did not play due to injury. Kayla Hinton paced Woodbury with 14 points.

Carly Ouren and Brianna Rasmussen scored all seven points in overtime for Fergus Falls as the Otters outlasted Providence Academy, 62-57, in the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic. Rasmussen scored a game-high 21 points while teammates Mariah Monke and Sydney Schultz each had 11 points. Taylor Finley led four Lions' scorers in double figures with 14.

Senior Micaela Meredith led a balanced and high-powered Bloomington Kennedy offensive onslaught as the Eagles opened the Breakdown Girls' Tip Off Classic with an 82-28 victory over St. Michael-Albertville. Tonoia Wade (14 points), Jade Martin (12) and Heather Bachman (10) also scored in double-figures for Kennedy. Natalie Van Wyhe paced the Knights with 10 points.
