Congratulations if you have been invited to the Breakdown Sports Media girls' volleyball (the 16th annual), baseball (9th annual), or softball (6th annual) photo shoots! You are among a select group of players from all over Minnesota, representing different geographic areas and grades who have been selected for this honor. We’re running the photo shoots on many different dates in January and February. Please see the registration forms for the exact dates and locations.

All players invited to the photo shoot have the opportunity to get a great deal on our 2023 guidebooks and calendar. This deal is available only to players invited to the photo shoots! It’s just $69.99 for the softcover book combination and $89.99 for the hardcover book combination — and we're offering a downloadable PDF version of the book (available a month earlier) again this year for $19.99 on top of any book order ($59.99 as a stand alone product). 

How were you selected? The Breakdown has a panel that consists of members all across Minnesota. At the conclusion of the season, our staff submits its picks of players worthy to be considered among the best in the state and from that list, a group of finalists is selected for this honor. We take into account recommendations from coaches, past season honors and statistics, offseason work, etc.

How does it work?  In order to accommodate a large group of top players, we have spread all photo shoots out over a multiple-hour period, with 5-minute time frames for photos.

•   Players, please bring the following equipment to the shoot this year:

• Volleyball players, please bring your uniform and a ball. 
• Baseball and softball players, please bring your jersey, bat and glove (catchers may also bring their helmet for a fun photo opportunity, as well).

•   professional studio photographers are present
•   individual photos will be taken (group and combination photos will be taken if desired...please have teammates sign up in consecutive time slots to make this easier).
•  individual information, including a biography and Q and A form, will be used in the Breakdown book
•   once you arrive, the photo shoot should be completed within 15 minutes

Please register ONLINE ahead of time as we will have 5-minute windows set up for each player. Walk-ins will have a separate line and we will take them as we can fit them into the schedule.

1. We're going to build in 5-minute time windows for the players to register (just one per time frame if one photographer, but up to three per time frame if three photographers) and then close the time frame down when full, as well as building about a few minutes of down time each hour to get walk-ins through (and their own separate line, as we're trying to discourage walk-ups). 
2. there will be hand sanitizer and disposable paper masks on site for those who need them.
3. please bring everything you need for your photo (jersey, etc.) as we are discouraging the use of common equipment on hand to use.
4. lastly, we encourage parents and other guests to remain outside in the parking area and just drop the student-athletes off at the door, if possible. Pre-registered players should be in-and-out of the shoot in 15 minutes or less.

Can't make it to any of the dates? You can still be in the book and receive the same special deal! Just fill out the registration form without selecting a date, complete the Q and A form and email a photo to tim@breakdownsportsusa.com. 

VERY IMPORTANT: Please note that when you get to the final "review" screen, you MUST hit the "complete registration" button at the bottom or it won't save and be sent to us. If you do not receive an email confirmation of your submission, it did not save!
