The Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association on Sunday released the names of the five finalists for the 2017 Miss Minnesota Basketball award, and the group includes four seniors who capped their careers playing in the state tournament -- including two who led their teams to undefeated seasons en route to capturing their programs' first state titles.
The award is given to the the state's top senior girls' basketball player and the winner will be announced April 7 at the association's All-Star banquet in Northfield.
School: Roseau | Height: 5-8 | Position: Guard

Led the Rams to the their first state title, scoring 20 points in a 75-64 victory over Sauk Centre in the Class 2A state championship. Averaged a team-high 25.9 points per game this season as Roseau posted a 31-0 record. She finished her high school career with more than 3,000 points.
School: Lakeville North | Height: 5-7 | Position: Guard
College: Creighton
Carda led Lakeville North (28-4) to a fourth-place finish in the Class 4A state tournament. She averaged 14.8 points per game this season and recorded a season-high 31 in a 67-58 win over New Prague in early December.
School: Elk River | Height: 5-10 | Position: Guard
College: Bradley
Haack's scoring fueled Elk River's Class 4A state title run and its 32-0 record. She ended the season with 771 total points, with an average of 26.1 points per game. Haack also set a school record for points in a single game after posting 45 in an 87-68 win over Moorhead on Jan. 28.
School: St. Michael-Albertville | Height: 5-8 | Position: Guard
College: Iowa State
The McDonald's All American nominee led St. Michael-Albertville (22-5) with 19.1 points per game and notched 92 assists on the season.
School: Mountain Iron-Buhl | Height: 5-8 | Position: Guard
College: Undecided
Mason helped Mountain Iron-Buhl (31-2) to a second-place finish in the Class 1A state tournament. She averaged 21.2 points per game and finished first in the state with 109 three-point shots made this season. She also ended her career as Minnesota's all-time leader in steals with 921.
