Andrayah Adams becomes 15th to reach 3,000 in Cougars victory

ST. PAUL COMO PARK 84, ST. PAUL CENTRAL 69

Andrayah Adams scored 34 points and surpassed a career milestone while leading the Cougars, ranked No. 5 in Class 3A, to the victory. Adams became the 15th player in state girls’ basketball history to surpass 3,000 career points.

BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY 63, COOPER 39

The Eagles took over sole possession of first place in the Metro West standings with their seventh consecutive victory. Lashayla Wright-Ponder scored 22 points to lead the Eagles (11-9, 8-1 Metro West), who are 11-1 since opening the season with eight consecutive losses. Lexi Nance scored nine to lead Cooper (12-7, 7-2).

MINNETONKA 82, WHITE BEAR LAKE 54

Courtney Fredrickson scored 20 points and Lizzie Odegard had 17 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Skippers, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A, past the Bears, ranked No. 8 in Class 4A.

EASTVIEW 66, PRIOR LAKE 37

Allie Pickrain was 8-of-12 from the field and scored 20 points and Megan Walstad was 9-of-13 from the field and scored 19 points to shoot the Lightning, ranked No. 3 in Class 3A, past the Lakers.

APPLE VALLEY 88, BURNSVILLE 76

Junior guard Lyndsey Robson became the all-time leading scorer in program history in the victory over the Blaze. Robson, who has committed to play at Wis.-Green Bay, now has 1,563 career points.

HOPKINS 54, MAPLE GROVE 41

The Royals, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, opened a 26-16 halftime lead en route to the victory over the Crimson. Ashley Bates scored 17 to lead the Royals.

EAST RIDGE 84, FOREST LAKE 68

Noelle Tomes scored 27 to pace the Raptors, ranked No. 10 in Class 4A, past Forest Lake.

ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 73, MONTICELLO 18

Rae Johnson scored 18 and Sydney Tracy scored 14 to lead the Knights, ranked No. 4 in Class 4A, past the host Magic.

WACONIA 66, HUTCHINSON 57

Madelin Dammann had 25 points and 12 rebounds and Sidney Zieske scored 16 to lead the Wildcats past the Tigers, ranked No. 2 in Class 3A.

NEW PRAGUE 63, DELANO 60

Eighth-grader Emily Russo, making her first varsity start, scored 22 points to lead the Trojans past the Tigers. Russo scored 15 in the first half as the teams battled to a 36-36 tie. Ellie Norling scored 21 to lead the Tigers.

PARK OF COTTAGE GROVE 46, STILLWATER 43 (OT)

Riley Perryman made three free throws in the overtime to lift the Wolfpack past the Ponies. Stillwater’s Madisen Schmitt made two free throws with 0.3 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime.
