6:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13 at Minnetonka's East gym

Preview

The Titans and Irish are scheduled to begin play at 6:30 in the east gym which is the older of the two Minnetonka gyms…

After losing by double figures in their first three games the Irish slid by BSM and crushed North St. Paul to improve their record to 2-4 this year.  They are off today before playing Tartan tomorrow…Tartan has yet to lose a game grabbing four wins over four teams they should have beaten (Como Park, S. St Paul, Richfield, and Minneapolis Roosevelt).  The Titans had the one decent test against the Teddies but no school as big as Rosemount yet, although they will be a heavy favorite in that game too…

Jordan Horn is leading the Titans in scoring at 25 a game with Joevon Walker contributing 15 points a contest.  Both are sophomores and they are supported by the third and fourth leading scorersKing Myles and Emanuel Humphrey who are also sophomores combing for 17 a game….The Irish are a balanced team with Logan Halvorson, Jack Kessler, and Kyle Kaupa all scoring 11 points a contest…Tartan is a top ten team in Class AAAA…

Key Matchup

Jordan Horn, Tartan vs Logan Halvorson, Rosemount

Two all around workers who can play multiple spots, Jordan and Logan both lead their teams in many categories.  Horn is a top 2017 who has really improved everything both physically and skill wise.

Prediction

Why Tartan will win:  Tartan will the game simply because they are more talented and they have better athletes.  Jordan Horn is playing outstanding basketball right now improving every part of his game.

Why Rosemount will win:  They are the more experienced team.  Tartan will have four sophomores on the game a lot while the Irish are a squad that will be dominated by seeral seniors.
