Sydney Coffey
No. 1 Hopkins 55, No. 4 Eastview 31
Starting the game with a 9-0 run, top-seeded and top-ranked Hopkins rolled to an easy victory over fourth-seeded Eastview in the Class AAAA semifinals at Target Center. The defending state champions hit a trio of three-pointers in the opening minutes and never looked back, opening up a 33-13 lead at halftime and extending it from there. The Royals (30-1) led by as many as 33 points in the second half. Sydney Coffey paced Hopkins with 15 points, while Taylor Anderson had 10 points and eight rebounds and Nia Coffey added 10 points. Freshman guard Madison Guebert led the Lightning (25-6) with just seven points on 1-of-7 shooting.

Osseo 57, No. 2 Edina 47
Upset-minded Osseo held off every late charge from second-seeded Edina, shocking the Hornets in the Class AAAA semifinals at Target Center Thursday night. The Orioles (26-5) led by three at halftime and stretched the lead to as many as 14 points midway through the second half, eventually settling in for a 10-point victory. Olivia Antilla led three Orioles in double-figures with 17 points. Mikayla Bailey and Phillis Webb chipped in with 12 and 11, respectively. MC McGrory of Edina (26-5) led all scorers with 20 points, while teammate Katybeth Biewen added 16. McGrory's layup brought Edina with three with 2 minutes, 22 seconds to go, but Osseo outscored the Hornets 10-3 the rest of the way.

Tyseanna Johnson
No. 1 Richfield 45, Hutchinson 28
Behind a defense that forced 25 turnovers and limited Hutchinson to just 29.4 percent shooting, top-seeded Richfield (27-4) earned a spot in the Class AAA championship game Thursday at Target Center. Jessica January scored a game-high 23 points and added nine rebounds and five steals for the Spartans. Sierra Ford-Washington chipped in with 10 points. Hutchinson (26-4) was paced by Alissa Retterath, who scored 13 points but also committed six turnovers.

No. 3 DeLaSalle 59, No. 2 Fergus Falls 51
Defending champion DeLaSalle took a while to get going, but the Islanders responded to the challenge put up by second-seeded Fergus Falls in the Class AAA semifinals at Target Center. The Islanders (27-3) trailed 17-7 midway through the first half, but outscored the Otters 21-8 to take a halftime lead and the eventual victory. Tyseanna Johnson (16 points) led a balanced scoring attack that also had Mariah Adanene (14), Mia Loyd (12) and Allina Starr (11) in double figures. Mariah Monke paced the Otters with 13 points, while Sydney Schultz added 12.

Kathy Ostman
Mt. Iron-Buhl 50, Sleepy Eye 31
Mt. Iron-Buhl didn't get off to a sleepy start in the opening Class A quarterfinal of the day at Wililams Arena, streaking out to an 11-0 lead on Sleepy Eye en route to an easy victory. The Rangers (30-1) were led by three players in double figures: Kathy Ostman (13 points on 6-of-10 shooting), Allie Knuti (10) and Sarah Overbye (10). On the other hand, the Indians (19-11) were off-kilter all game long, hitting just 1-of-12 from three-point range and committing 24 turnovers. Claire Krumbach had seven points and 10 rebounds for Sleepy Eye, which also got nine points from Carissa Hillmer.

Ada-Borup 67, Minneota 63
Ada-Borup needed Megan Kolness to be perfect -- and she was -- leading the way with 25 points as the Cougars (27-2) handed Minneota (29-2) just its second loss of the year in the Class A quarterfinals at Williams Arena. Kolness was a spotless 7-for-7 from the field (4-of-4 on threes) and 7-for-7 from the free throw line. She scored 18 points in the second half as the Cougars led the entire second half after 12 lead changes and seven ties in the first half. Taylor Kujava added 16 points and eight rebounds and Chelsea Nelson had 14 points for Ada-Borup. Taylor Reiss led Minneota with 27 points and 17 rebounds before fouling out in the final minute.

Maranatha Christian 76, Isle 58
Onye Osemenam has been a double-double machine all season long -- and that continued in Maranatha Christian's Class A quarterfinal victory over Isle at Williams Arena. Osemenam had 25 points and 12 rebounds as the Mustangs (26-5) dominated down low, outscoring the Huskies (25-6) 44-24 in the paint. Alexis Long (18 points) and Madison Lee (13) both scored in double-figures from the backcourt for Maranatha. Maja Coomes led Isle with 16 points.

Spring Grove 68, Warren-Alvarado-Oslo 66 OT
Taylor Elton scored all of her team's points in overtime to rally Spring Grove (28-3) past Warren-Alvarado-Oslo (26-5) in the Class A quarterfinals at Williams Arena. Elton finished with 17 points, including her team's last four points of regulation that sent the game to overtime. Richell Mehus also had a huge game for the Lions, netting 37 points and nine rebounds. The Ponies led most of the game behind a strong effort from center Sarah Durand (27 points, 13 rebounds) and teammates Angie Erickson (11 points), Alexandra Erickson (11) and Abbie Mercil (10), but couldn't hold off Mehus and Spring Grove.

1. Megan Kolness, Ada-Borup
The junior was perfect for the Cougars when her team needed her most, making all of her shots from the field and the line in a 67-63 victory over Minneota in the Class A quarterfinals. Kolness finished with 25 points on 7-of-7 from the field (4-of-4 from three) and 7-of-7 from the free throw line.
2. Taylor Elton/Richell Mehus, Spring Grove
The Lions' pair were instrumental in their team's 68-66 overtime victory over Warren-Alvarado-Oslo in the Class A quarterfinals. Mehus did her damage in regulation with 37 points, keeping Spring Grove close in a game it trailed throughout. Elton did her damage late, scoring her team's final four points in regulation and all five in overtime. She finished with 17 points.
3. Jessica January, Richfield
The Spartans' do-everything star was at it again in the a 45-28 Class AAA semifinal victory over Hutchinson. January tossed in 23 points and added 9 rebounds and 5 steals in a stat-filling effort.
Honorable mention: Taylor Reiss, Minneota
The Vikings came up short against Ada-Borup in the Class A quarterfinals, but Reiss was dominant in the paint with 27 points and 17 rebounds before fouling out in the final minute.
